JANE AUSTEN (1775-1817) - Daughter, sister, friend, author, genius! I love all of her work but my favorites are 'Northanger Abbey', 'Persuasion' and 'Sense and Sensibility'. I love 'Lady Susan' so much too and hope one day a movie is made of it.
AGATHA CHRISTIE (1890-1976) - My second favorite author! Amazing queen of mystery! I love her Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot novels, but also 'Crooked House' and 'And Then There Were None'.
ELIZABETH GASKELL (1810-1865) - Author of my favorite North & South. Also wrote Wives & Daughters and Cranford stories and I want to read more of her lesser known works.
CHARLES DICKENS (1812-1870) - Awesome Victorian author. 'A Christmas Carol' is charming. I just really need to read more Dickens!
LOUISA MAY ALCOTT (1832-1888) - Lovely American authoress. My favorite of her books are 'Eight Cousins' and 'Rose In Bloom'.
GRACE LIVINGSTON HILL (1865–1947) - Christian authoress and pastor's wife. I love her novels, my favorites are 'The Mystery of Mary' and 'The White Flower'.
ELISABETH ELLIOT (1926-) - Missionary, authoress, widow, mother, amazing woman of Faith! I love reading her quotes and I want to read more of her books. I loved reading 'Let Me Be A Woman'.
C.S. LEWIS (1898-1963) - Christian author and professor, author of the Chronicles of Narnia. I love
The Silver Chair' and 'The Voyage of the Dawn Treader' and all of the other Narnia books. 'Mere Christianity' is spectacular and I love reading quotes by him.
JANETTE OKE (1935-) - Canadian author and pastor's wife. I've read and enjoyed so many of her lovely books! My favorites are still The Love Comes Softly series.
LORI WICK - Christian author and amazing lady! I've enjoyed so many of her books but my favorite still is 'The Princess' because it's so original.
I love the works by Jane Austen, Elizabeth Gaskell, Louisa May Alcott, and Charles Dickens! C.S. Lewis has been my all-time favorite. And Agatha Christie makes one of the best mysteries ever! Her stories are full of suspense. I haven't read much books by Elizabeth Elliot, Janette Oke, and Lori Wick, but I've heard that they, too, are great authors and writers.
